Teaser Tuesday (70): My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

This week's teaser is from My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick. I took a break from review books to read this one and I'm so glad I did. It's a great, sweet contemporary that, for me, was one of the best I've read since Anna and the French Kiss. The main characters were so perfect together and I even loved all of the secondary characters too. Definitely a must read if you haven't checked this one out yet!

Our house contains all that's high-end and high-tech and shiny clean. And three people who would rather be somewhere else.

Why do all the hot girls want the jocks and the good boys? We losers are the ones who need you.

{My Life Next Door, Ch. 36}

Synopsis of My Life Next Door:

"One thing my mother never knew, and would disapprove of most of all, was that I watched the Garretts. All the time."

The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, messy, affectionate. And every day from her rooftop perch, Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them . . . until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs up next to her and changes everything.

As the two fall fiercely for each other, stumbling through the awkwardness and awesomeness of first love, Jase's family embraces Samantha - even as she keeps him a secret from her own. Then something unthinkable happens, and the bottom drops out of Samantha's world. She's suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?

A transporting debut about family, friendship, first romance, and how to be true to one person you love without betraying another.
