Character Interview: Austin Girl from The Adventures of Austin Girl and the Legend of Diablo

Today we're excited to have a character interview with Austin Girl, main character of The Adventures of Austin Girl and the Legend of Diablo by Carrie Crain! Check out the synopsis:

Austin Girl, a dispirited teenager, discovers a magic Samurai sword, leading her on a journey to Planet Disco to save her kidnapped Grandpa from the nefarious Diablo, and return to Earth before she becomes a permanent guest.

I work at my Grandpa Lucky’s antique store in Checkered Past, Texas.

Describe yourself in three words:
Uncoordinated, naïve, stubborn
Wardrobe/Personal Style:
White Go-Go boots, orange and white mod dress and black trim Candy eyewear. I HEART vintage and thrift store.
Where do you live? Are any other people living with you? Who are they?
I live in Checkered Past, Texas with my Grandpa and my cat named Alley in a 2-story brick home sitting on 5 acres. I have the entire upstairs to myself. I never knew my dad and my mom left when I was a young whippersnapper to chase a dream in Hollywood.
How do you feel about your author?
She’s completely lost her marbles.
Favorite Pastime:
Helping Grandpa find antiques and unusual items for the store. I love to bargain and negotiate.
Without giving too much away, what was one of your favorite moments with the character you spend the most time with?
When Skinny taught me the proper way to hold Samurai sword. It was fun practicing. For the first time, I felt like a warrior who could conquer anything I set my mind to.
What makes you happy?
Seeing my Grandpa happy. Oh… and, the Samurai sword, of course.
What is your greatest fear?
Dancing. I have vertigo, so dancing scares me.
What would you change about yourself if you could?
My insecurities stemming from not having parents like my peers do. I would learn to relax.
What is it that you have never told anyone?
I record the Pawn Stars and watch all the reruns late at night.
What's the worst thing you've ever done? Why?
I called these mean bullies “fatheads” and meant it.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Owning Grandpa Lucky’s Antique Store.
