Guest Post: K.P. Smith, author of Growing Pains: Kendra's Diaries

Today we're talking to K.P. Smith, author of YA series Growing Pains: Kendra's Diaries, about her book. Here's a synopsis:
Growing Pains: Kendra's Dairies is the first book in the series chronicling the journey of Kendra Foster from adolescence to adulthood .I aspire to encourage, entertain, and inspire young adults. Life has its ups and downs, its bumps and its bruises. But with perseverance, determination, and faith you can be all you were born to be. Never Give Up.

And now, K.P. will tell us about why she wrote Growing Pains: Kendra's Diaries.

I have always loved to read. It has been a desire of mine for a long time to write a book. When I finally decided to do it, my first question was what would I write about? What did I want to say?

I didn’t have the answers to those questions. But I did know I wanted to reach out to people through my writing. I wanted to inspire them, encourage them and motivate them. At the same time I wanted to entertain them and make them laugh. What is better than a good hearty laugh? Out of all these desires the Growing Pains Series was birthed.

I am taking my readers on Kendra Foster’s journey of growing up. Through the ups and downs, the ins and the outs, the joys and the sorrows. I want the youth to know whatever happens in their life they are well able to overcome it. You can survive this process and even thrive. For my readers who like me already grown up, I want to take them down an enjoyable trip down memory lane.

I say this series is for the Young and the Young At Heart. It is for those who are looking ahead and those looking on things past.

Growing Pains: Kendra’s Diaries is the first book in the Growing Pains Series. It is available at AmazonBarnes and Nobles and on Smashwords.

Thanks so much to K.P. for talking to us today.
