Blog Hop and Follow, & Feature Friday (3)

Hey, there, Pretty Readers! It's that time of the week again.

We'll start this week off with the awesome Feature, and Follow Friday, hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read.

Feature & Follow Friday

Their question this week:
How has your reading habits changed since you were a teen? or If you are still a teen what new genres are you in love with currently?
Jesse: My reading habits haven't changed much since I was a teen, although I'm only 23. I still read pretty much the same things I was reading then. I love paranormal and fantasy books, but recently—within the past couple of years—I've been getting more into contemporary and realistic fiction. But when I need a good read I still usually head for the paranormal section first.

Kira: I've always been a reader. Always had a book on me practically everywhere I went. The major difference between when I was a teenager and now is that now I read way more YA books than I did. When I was a teen, my main go-to books were things written by John Grisham,or Tami Hoag--anything that could keep me on the edge of my seat, really. I still read stuff like that from time to time, but mostly it's all YA these days.

Of course, now we cannot forget the amazing Book Blogger Hop, hosted by Crazy for Books.

Book Blogger HopThe Question this week:
Let’s talk crazy book titles! Highlight one or two (or as many as you like!) titles in your personal collection that have the most interesting titles! If you can’t find any, feel free to find one on the internet!
Jesse: Sean Griswold's Head by Lindsey Leavitt. If you know nothing about this book than the title would probably make you do a double take. Why would a book be about some guys head? But once you read the description it makes more sense.

I have not read this book yet, but it is on my to-read list. Here's the Goodreads description.

According to her guidance counselor, fifteen-year-old Payton Gritas needs a focus object-an item to concentrate her emotions on. It's supposed to be something inanimate, but Payton decides to use the thing she stares at during class: Sean Griswold's head. They've been linked since third grade (Griswold-Gritas-it's an alphabetical order thing), but she's never really known him.

The focus object is intended to help Payton deal with her father's newly diagnosed multiple sclerosis. And it's working. With the help of her boy-crazy best friend Jac, Payton starts stalking-er, focusing on-Sean Griswold . . . all of him! He's cute, he shares her Seinfeld obsession (nobody else gets it!) and he may have a secret or two of his own.

So the title really does make sense, but it's probably the most eye catching title on my list.

Kira: Perhaps me using this book will make it seem like I have some sort of obsession (what, with the review, and discussion questions on this site, and the post on my personal blog), but I would say The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan is one of those crazy interesting titles that only really makes sense once you understand the concept of the book.

I know it's what originally drew me in and made me want to read it.

Taylor: Jane Jones: Worst. Vampire. Ever. by Caissie St. Onge. It's probably one of the weirdest book titles ever (mostly because of the punctuation) but it's perfect because she really is the worst vampire ever! She's allergic to blood! So much so that when the cool vampire kids slip her some blood at a party, she gets sick and passes out and they have to call her mother to come pick her up.
